I am sure you have heard about Kinetic Sand.  It can be molded, it sticks to itself but not to most other materials or surfaces, and it does not dry out.  Now it can still get all over when you play with it in the house.  I found sand on the dining room chairs and on the floor, however it was so easy to clean up by just using the vacuum cleaner.

The Kinetic Sand acts like regular sand in the sense that you can mold it and build sand castles with it.  You can also stamp into it and the sand will keep it’s shape like playdough.

S pulled out her Kinetic Sand and playmobil figures and has been entertaining herself with different scenes over the the course of several days.  I do not think that one toy has entertained her for this long for a very long time.  She was so proud of the different scenes that she created that she would call me over to see them and even asked if she could take pictures of them “in case I wanted to blog them”.  Since she was so thoughtful I decided why not! 🙂

Have your children played with Kinetic Sand before?

That looks like fun! It’s always wonderful when you find something that keeps your little one entertained for more than 30 seconds, isn’t it? 🙂

Thank you for sharing with us at #MommyMeetupMondays!

I look forward to my kids being able to enjoy these types of activities. My oldest son puts everything in his mouth so sensory play is always a game of “What can I swallow next?”. This looks like a blast though and I will have to bookmark it for the future. Thank you for sharing at #MommyMeetUpMondays!

He’ll have so much fun when the “let’s taste everything” stage is over 🙂
