This easy-to-make baked tilapia will become a family favorite and makes a great option for a weeknight meal.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Somewhere along the line, our Friday dinners became seafood night. We alternate between several different options including shrimp, fish cakes, and baked tilapia. This baked tilapia recipe is a family favorite and gets requested frequently. It’s so easy to prepare which makes it perfect for a weeknight meal.

I usually serve this easy baked tilapia with Spinach Couscous, but a delicious lettuce salad or pasta salad would also be great to pair with it.

An easy-to-make side dish that the whole family will enjoy is spinach couscous.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Pat the tilapia fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and cape cod seasoning. If you do not have cape cod seasoning you could substitute with a mixture of paprika, cayenne pepper, and celery seed.

Place the tilapia fillets on an aluminum foil-covered baking sheet that has been drizzled with olive oil. Drizzle the tilapia fillets with olive oil. Bake the tilapia for 12-15 minutes (internal temperature 145 degrees or higher).

Serve with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of parsley (if desired).
