Bike Wash – Outdoor Fun

July 7, 2014 By: mybigfathappylife

Bike Wash #outside #summerfun | mybigfathappylife.comIt was a HOT day and I wanted a water activity for S to make it bearable to be outside.  We pulled out her princess bike, a bucket, dish soap, rags and sponges in order to wash her bike!

S squeezed some dish soap into the bucket and then added in the water.  I offered S both rags and sponges, however she seemed to prefer the rag.

S really got into making sure she cleaned every part of her bike including the tires and bell.

Once she finished with the soapy water, S rinsed off her bike with the hose.

Our bike wash lasted for about an hour.  Really if water is involved it will make S happy, but this was fun!  She really took care to make sure that her bike was completely clean.

I think this is such a lovely thing to do on a hot day, loads of fun and teaches children about looking after their things.

This has to be the cutest post ever. I love it. She looks like she enjoyed it and what a great chore for little ones to do. Can’t wait until my little is old enough for something like this. She would probably drink the soapy water right now. LOL

Bike washes are so much fun, aren’t they? And your little one is so cute and concentrated in the photos here. 🙂 It reminds me of our many bike and toy washes – as well as the first real car cleaning our kids helped with around your child’s age – http://traininghappyhearts.blogspot.com/2010/08/practical-life-car-wash.html
