Disney Frozen Party

March 27, 2014 By: mybigfathappylife

Disney Frozen Party | mybigfathappylife.com
We love the movie Frozen! We went to see it in the theaters opening weekend and have sung the songs continuously ever since. Our family loves the story line, obviously the music and how Olaf and Sven add comedy to the movie.

So when Frozen was released on Blu-Ray last week I knew that we had to have a Frozen viewing party.

The food that I chose for the party was themed to match the movie: troll rocks (meatballs), sven antlers (homemade pretzels – this recipe), Olaf nose (carrots) and Kristoff’s Snowballs (cheese ball).  I added labels to the food with pictures of all the major characters (the good ones at least :)).  I decorated the tables with candles and Christmas lights.

For the dessert and drinks table, we had Anna’s Chocolate Cake and Elsa’s Unique Drink (frozen peppermint hot chocolate – this recipe).

The little details make the party special: real mint leaves for the frozen hot chocolate (or even just to decorate the table) and an old suitcase full of blankets for party guests to use.

Of course S had to dress the part of Elsa including her braid.

We had so much fun eating and watching the movie.  If you have not seen Frozen yet I highly recommend it.
