Who else loves Marvel?  We do at my house!  With Captain Marvel coming out this week, March 8th, I thought we would get in the spirit with Captain Marvel cupcakes!  These cupcakes are easy to make and so fun!

You can add Captain Marvel’s logo to the top of homemade cupcakes, boxed cupcakes, or store-bought cupcakes depending on your preference.  Keep in mind that it will take about 12 hours for the logo to dry, so make sure that you allow plenty of time.

Captain Marvel Logo

Ingredients:

  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • Red, blue & yellow gel food coloring

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring)
  • If icing is not stiff enough add 1/4 C powder sugar.
  • Divide the icing equally into 3 bowls.
  • Add several drops of red gel food coloring into one bowl of icing.  Stir well to mix the color.
  • Add several drops of blue gel food coloring into one bowl of icing.  Stir well to mix the color.
  • In bowl #3 of icing add several drops of yellow gel food coloring.  Stir well to mix the color.
  • Locate a picture of Captain Marvel’s logo on the internet. Print several pictures of the logo and tape the pictures to a cookie sheet.
  • Tape wax paper on top of the logo pictures.
  • Using a small pastry bag filled with the yellow royal icing and a #2 tip, start outlining the center design and fill in as needed.  Allow this to dry for 30 seconds.
  • Using a small pastry bag filled with the red royal icing and a #2 tip, start outlining the top of the logo and fill in as needed.  Allow this to dry for 30 seconds.
  • Using a small pastry bag filled with the blue royal icing and a #2 tip, start outlining the bottom of the logo and fill in as needed.  Allow this to dry for 30 seconds.
  • Repeat for all the Captain Marvel logos you need for your cupcakes.
  • Allow the logos to dry for 10-12 hours.  When the image is dry, it will be hard and not allow you to push in on it.
  • Once the logos are dry, carefully peel the wax paper off of the back and place on frosted cupcakes.

These Captain Marvel cupcakes are SUPER fun and SUPER easy!  Let me know if you will be seeing Captain Marvel!
