All the steps, along with ideas, on how to put together a dessert charcuterie board for a fun and special treat for family and friends!

I don’t know about you but I am a huge fan of chocolate and desserts! While a dessert charcuterie board does not fit the correct definition of a true charcuterie board it’s still a fun word that a lot of people associate with a snacking board. The true definition of a charcuterie board is basically a collection of deli meats, but as I mentioned we tend to think of a charcuterie board as a snacking board. So why not a dessert charcuterie board?!

Recently my daughter and her best friend got together for a movie night. As a special treat, I made a dessert charcuterie board for them to munch on during the movie. Of course, this was a huge hit with these preteens! Because who doesn’t love chocolate and desserts?

As I mentioned above, I am a huge fan of chocolate, especially dark chocolate! I am also a huge new fan of GATSBY Chocolate bars! I am so impressed by their delicious, indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth taste. They contain all the decadence of premium chocolate but with significantly fewer calories and sugar. Which is a win-win!

Dessert Charcuterie Board

So what is a dessert charcuterie board? It is a collection of sweet treats, chocolate, and dessert items that you can snack on over a period of time. Therefore you want small items, maybe a bite or two, that you can easily pick up to eat.

When assembling your dessert charcuterie board, I suggest trying to find a variety of shapes, colors, and textures. Some ideas of items that you may want to include on your dessert charcuterie board:

  • GATSBY chocolate bars and/or peanut butter cups
  • Something salty like pretzels, popcorn, or nuts
  • Cookies, cake squares, or tarts
  • Fresh fruit
  • Cheeses

Start by choosing a board, plate, or tray that is the right size for your gathering. Then place your largest items first or any items that you might have in bowls. Then add the remaining treats on your board. Try mounding or piling your different treats. Work on balancing colors across your board.

About GATSBY Chocolate

GATSBY Chocolate was created by the cofounder of Halo Top, Doug Bouton, the brand that disrupted the ice cream category and became the bestselling pint in America! GATSBY Chocolate is revolutionizing the chocolate category like Halo Top revolutionized ice cream. Doug, along with other original Halo Top team members, founded GATSBY Chocolate because there were no low-calorie options in chocolate. They got to work and spent more than a year developing the recipe for GATSBY Chocolate.

The result is an unbelievably indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate with way fewer calories and a fraction of the sugar compared to other premium chocolate. In fact, GATSBY Chocolate products have two to three times fewer calories than comparable products.
