This Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Bread tastes like cinnamon rolls but in loaf form. This recipe is so easy to make that you will be enjoying this delicious bread in no time at all. It is full of cinnamon sugar goodness which makes it perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert. It will not disappoint!

Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Bread Recipe

In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the cinnamon sugar swirl and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine egg, buttermilk, sugar, and vegetable oil. Then gradually add in flour, baking soda, and salt just until combined.

Prepare a loaf pan by spraying it with non-stick spray before pouring half the bread batter in.

Sprinkle the loaf pan with about 3/4s of the cinnamon sugar mixture and then top with the remaining batter.

Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the batter in the loaf pan. Using a butter knife cut through the batter swirling the cinnamon sugar mixture around through the batter.

Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.

Combine in a small bowl, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. If needed, add more powdered sugar to thicken or more milk to thin out the glaze. Then drizzle the glaze on the top of the cooled cinnamon sugar swirl bread. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

Cinnamon Sugar Swirl

  • 2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Bread

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
