With it being summer and so hot lately, my daughter has been requesting that I make her some ice cream. Truthfully, ice cream is my go-to dessert during the summer so I was happy to oblige!

This rich and creamy Cake Batter Ice Cream recipe is so easy to make. It uses simple ingredients to make the perfect cup of ice cream that tastes just like cake batter. This ice cream recipe will become a family favorite and will be requested on repeat!

I use this ice cream maker and have had it for close to 8 years. It’s easy to use and still works perfectly. The ice cream always comes out creamy and smooth.

I love these 1.5-quart ice cream storage containers! The ice cream always stays creamy inside because they are double-insulated and the container doesn’t create condensation all over the counter. Also, the elongated design makes scooping your ice cream so much easier.

Since it is unsafe to consume raw flour be sure to bake the cake mix for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees F before using and allow to cool.

In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, sugar, whole milk, vanilla extract, and white cake mix. Fill the ice cream maker with the mixture and allow it to run for 15-20 minutes.

Serve or freeze for later. Ice cream will be very soft right out of the machine.

Tip:  When making ice cream be sure to keep your cold ingredients in the fridge and your frozen ice cream insert in the freezer until you are ready to use.
