Assembling a Hot Chocolate Bar

December 11, 2014 By: mybigfathappylife

One of my favorite new additions last Christmas was a hot chocolate bar.  I served the hot chocolate bar on Christmas morning but it would be prefect to have out for the week of Christmas or even a small version out for the entire winter.

I had a separate table set up in my dining room to hold the bar.

The hot chocolate mix and marshmallows were placed in a vintage bowls, but if you were going to keep out an extended time frame a jar would be the perfect solution.  Additional toppings like sprinkles, chocolate chips and candy canes were placed in bowls and santa mugs. I placed red and blue stripe paper straws in a vintage glass.  I also added cinnamon in the snowflake shaker.

I placed warm milk in various vintage thermoses.

We have added a frozen wine cooler with redi-whip too.

My table did not have much room on it but I did add a chalkboard sign and a pine bough to decorate the table.

This was one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning!

What a fabulous idea for Christmas morning (or week!) I love how you had this out and prepared for everyone to enjoy… it’s so cute, and I bet your family loved it. And I kind of want to do the same thing with my family, even though we don’t have kiddos at our Christmas celebration just yet!

Perfect for adults too! If you wanted you could have peppermint schnapps to add to the hot chocolate 🙂

Thank you for sharing, a coffee or hot chocolate station seem to be the latest trend in home decorating. I am loving the personal touch you added via the black board and those Santa mugs add a little sense of humor to the set up. I love it. I have also recently shared a coffee station inspired by two bloggers, here is a link if you’d like to check it out! http://glamistahome.com/2014/12/my-coffee-station.html
