Let’s take back the true meaning of Christmas this holiday season and spend time together with your family.  I am sharing 25 inexpensive activities to do with your family as you countdown to Christmas this year.

 

I am sharing below 25 fun ways/activities to help you spend time together as a family this holiday season.  You could do one item a day in December as you countdown the month or try to fit in as many activities as you want throughout the month.  You could also print the list and include one activity a day in my DIY Advent Calendar that can be found here.  Here is a printable list of the 25 activities to do with your family to countdown to Christmas.

25 Activities to do with your Family to Countdown to Christmas:

1. Decorate your Christmas tree
2. Bake cookies
3. Read Christmas stories under the tree
4. Have a Christmas dance party
5. Watch Christmas movies together
6. Attend a tree lighting ceremony 
7. Make homemade Christmas cards
8. Donate a toy/toys to a charity (example Toys for Tots or Operation Christmas Child) that will give them to children in need this holiday season.
9. Attend a Christmas parade or festival or local event
10. Make a Christmas themed craft (decorate a stocking, make a snow globe, build a snowman, etc)
11. Drink hot chocolate or have a hot chocolate bar
12. Drive about the neighborhood and look at Christmas lights
13. Make a gingerbread house
14. Donate food to a local food bank
15. Write a letter to Santa
16. Sing Christmas carols
17. Family game night
18. Go ice skating
19. Kiss under the mistletoe
20. Have a picnic under the Christmas tree
