All the tips to help you have an amazing trip to Arches National Park in Utah.

All the tips to help you have an amazing trip to Arches National Park in Utah.

Arches National Park is located in southeastern Utah near Moab. The park features over 2,000 naturally occurring stone arches. The combination of the beautiful red rocks, fins, pinnacles, and arches with the beautiful blue sky makes for picturesque views.

How much time do you need at Arches National Park? We spent a day and a half and hiked all the trails listed below, took lots of photos, stopped at tons of viewpoints, and completed the Junior Ranger Program.

Where to Stay

We stayed in Moab at Moab Springs Ranch. They offer two types of accommodations: stand-alone bungalows and one, two, and three-bedroom townhouses. The ranch is perfectly located close to downtown Moab, Arches National Park, and local trails.

We stayed in a townhouse and it felt like our home away from home with everything that we could ever need for our trip. The ranch also has a large private park complete with ponds with a flowing waterscape, a pool, and hammocks for relaxing.

Hikes

We enjoyed the following hikes during our trip. The arch that surprised me the most was Sand Dune Arch. We almost skipped this arch, but since it was such a short hike we decided to stop and loved it!

Devils Garden Trail to Landscape Arch
1.8 miles round trip, easy
Take the side trail off to see Pine Tree and Tunnel Arch
Winter notes: trail had snow but was not slippery
