In the evenings are you rushed to spend more time with your kids? Want to spend less time cooking dinner? Me too! I am always looking for easy, quick and inexpensive meals to prepare during the week and after lazy days at the pool on the weekends. Then I can spend more time with my family!
On the weekends, we spend as many afternoons as possible in the pool. There is nothing like cannon balling into the pool, diving for toys and playing Marco Polo as a family. We usually always lose track of time or S asks for just 5 more minutes which puts us right at dinnertime. I don’t know about you but I am always starving when I get out of the pool, so a quick dinner is in order.
When I was at Walmart the other day, I noticed the new TOMBSTONE® Limited Edition Pizza available in Bratwurst or Diablo. With my husband originally being from Wisconsin, I couldn’t go wrong with a pizza that included bratwurst and real Wisconsin cheese.
While the pizza cooked, S and I prepared a quick salad including fresh tomatoes from the garden. Visiting our garden is a daily affair. Before or after dinner we check what vegetables and fruits are ready to be picked, what plants are growing and which ones have flowers.
Fifteen minutes later, we had a quick and inexpensive family dinner ready to enjoy together. We always take advantage of more sunlight in the evenings during the summer and eat outside as a family!

I love brats, but I’ve never had bratwurst pizza…I really need to try it!
The brats were cut very thin like pepperoni and the addition of the mustard to the sauce was surprising.
