Summer Sundae Waffle Bar

I have to admit that Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles have been one of my go-to breakfast items.  However, I also enjoy Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles in savory dinners like Chicken and Waffles and as a part of a dessert with ice cream and delicious toppings!  

For my husband’s birthday celebration, we went with an old favorite: Sundae Waffle Bar where each guest can build their sundae how they want.  I love doing a bar when we have guests because it’s versatile, interactive, and creates conversation.  

For our Sundae Waffle Bar, I picked up from Walmart:

• Eggo Homestyle and Buttermilk Waffles
• Breyer’s® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
• Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
• Smucker’s Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping
• Reddi-wip® Original Whipped Topping
• M&M’S® Minis Milk Chocolate Candies
• Fresh Fruit: strawberries, blueberries and pineapple

To assemble the Sundae Waffle Bar, start by hanging a festive tassel banner and a tablecloth.  Then place the tallest items in the back of your table with the lower items in the front.  To keep the ice cream cool place it in a bowl of ice.  You can place your toppings in small bowls for a more uniform look.  If you would like additional height try using cake plates or a stack of books.  

Place the toaster right along with the ingredients so that your guests can heat their Eggo Homestyle Waffles as they assemble their sundae.  Did you know?  Eggo waffles now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.  This includes the full product line.

Of course, my favorite part of the Sundae Waffle Bar is coming up with delicious sundae combinations!  Here is one of my favorites!  It starts with one Eggo Homestyle Waffle topped with 1/4 cup Breyer’s® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream, 1 Tbsp. Smucker’s Hot Fudge, 1 Tbsp. M&M’s® Minis Milk Chocolate Candies, 1 Tbsp. blueberries, 1 Tbsp. sliced strawberries, 1 Tbsp. chunked pineapple and 1 Tbsp Reddi-wip. 

Make sure to stop by Walmart to pick up all the supplies for your Summer Sundae Waffle Bar!
