My daughter and I took a trip to Walmart to pick out a K’NEX® building set. S chose the K’NEX® Star Shooter Roller Coaster since we had just returned home from Disney World and she loved riding all the roller coasters. The Star Shooter Coaster is motorized which makes this building set so much fun! The motor pulls the car up the chain lift and then sends it spiraling through the track! 
S was so excited to open the package. As soon as we got home she couldn’t wait to start assembling. While the instructions were easy to follow, it did take the better part of an afternoon to put together – there are 434 pieces! It was a great activity for my husband and S to work on together.
I love toys like K’NEX® that are hands on and allow your child to learn in a fun way. For example, S and I had a whole conversation about gravity while the Star Shooter was racing down the track.
S has said many times since we assembled the K’NEX® Star Shooter Roller Coaster, “I love how fast it goes and it was fun building it“. It’s been a week now and S still turns on the Star Shooter multiple times a day to watch the car move on the track.
The K’NEX® Star Shooter Roller Coaster is recommend for builders ages 7+, however my daughter who is almost 5 with the help of her dad had no problems assembling the coaster and loved watching it go around and around the track. The building set does require 2 AA batteries, which are not included, so make sure to pick them up too.

My daughters love K’NEX and watching the roller coaster go on the track over and over. They are very educational, you just have to do a little research to make it a learning lesson.
