Keep all your toiletries in one place with this DIY travel bag tutorial. When you’re finished with this super easy project, you’ll have a beautiful, functional bag to carry your essential items in.  I bring my favorite AVEENO® products with me everywhere I travel.

We frequently travel and keeping all my toiletries together in my luggage is a must. I love to travel with all my favorite health and beauty products because then no matter where I am in the world I have products that I can rely on.

I like to have all the items that I take into the shower separate from my makeup because, let’s face it, sometimes liquids leak when you fly due to the change in pressure. I am going to share with you how you can make your own easy travel bag/toiletries bag with just a resealable zipper bag and beautifully patterned duct tape. But first I want to share with you a couple of my favorite products to travel with.

I’ve always had very sensitive so I need to be careful about the products I purchase. AVEENO® Skin Relief Body Wash is gentle on my sensitive skin while it softens and moisturizes. It has a new look with an even gentler formula that removes dirt without disrupting my skin’s natural moisture barrier. It’s fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, dye-free, and soap-free.

AVEENO®  POSITIVELY RADIANT®  60 SECOND IN-SHOWER FACIAL not only softens and moisturizes my skin but leaves it brighter and glowing. Who doesn’t love glowing skin? It works with the steam from your shower to deeply exfoliate dirt, oil, and dead skin. Be sure to follow the directions for use on the packaging exactly.

When I am on vacation I want my skin to feel and look its best which is why I stick with AVEENO® Skin Relief Body Wash and POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 SECOND IN-SHOWER FACIAL when I travel.

How to Make a Travel Bag

This is a simple DIY that you can customize to the size of the health and beauty products that you use. You can also make a matching bag to hold your hair products or one for your makeup or one for both!

You will need a resealable zipper bag for each bag you would like to make (I used a gallon size bag which fit my AVEENO® products) and beautifully patterned duct tape. I got everything to make my travel bag at my local Walmart. The AVEENO®  Skin Relief Body Wash is located in the health and beauty section while AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 SECOND IN-SHOWER FACIAL is in the makeup section of the store. You can find duct tape in both the hardware and the crafts departments.

Start by laying your resealable zipper bag out flat. Cut strips of duct tape that are longer than the bag is wide. Line the first strip up with the top of the bag below the zipper.

Continue adding strips of duct tape to the bag. If your duct tape has a repeating pattern be sure to line up the pattern so that your bag will look complete.

Fold the edges over to the opposite side of the resealable zipper bag.

When you get to the bottom of the bag, fold the excess over to the other side of the resealable zipper bag.

On the back side of the bag continue adding strips of duct tape but instead of folding the edges over, cut the edges flush with the bag.
