DohVinci Pumpkin Decorating

September 21, 2015 By: mybigfathappylife

Disclosure: My family was provided with a discounted package price as part of the Family Forward conference with Mom It Forward where DohVinci was a sponsor of a workshop where we received DohVinci product.  I was not compensated for this post.  All opinions, as always, are my own. #FamilyForward

DohVinci is a really neat product that lets your child (or you) be creative.  It is so easy to use just choose the Deco Pop tube you want, pop it into the styler and aim, squeeze and design.  DohVinci will stick to many different surfaces including wood, paper, glass, cardboard, and painted metal.  So, of course we had to try DohVinci out on a faux pumpkin!

S could not wait to get started on her pumpkin!  She decided to just create a fun design, but making a jack-o-lantern face on a pumpkin would be so cute!  Yes, her friend the crow (faux) kept an eye on her while she created.  She dragged that crow around with her all day!

Seriously though, S loves decorating with DohVinci and is always asking to create more projects.  She has covered picture frames, pop up animals and a trinket box.

Tips for Working with DohVinci

  • Place the tip of the DohVinci styler against your project and apply even pressure.
  • The Deco Pop tubes are resealable which is great when your child wants to put every color on their product.
  • Your DohVinci design will take about 24 hours to dry, so once you create your project be sure to leave it somewhere safe.
  • The styler may be difficult for small hands to squeeze especially with a full Deco Pop tube.

What a cool idea and a different type of messy compared to carving pumpkins! Great product #Whatevertheweather x

That looks like fun…and the pumpkin turned out so cute! I’m not sure that my daughter is old enough for one of these, but I think mommy may have to get one for herself!

Thank you for sharing with us at #MommyMeetupMondays!

These look great for encouraging creativity and excellent for developing fine motor skills too. I love that the crow is watching too (although to be fair it would probably freak me out a bit!). Lov eth efinished pumpkin, we’ll have to try something similar with our boys this year!
Thanks for linking up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x

I’ve not heard of this product before but it sounds brilliant. What a great way to be creative with all kinds of things. I love autumn and pumpkins and carving pumpkins. But this is a great way to be a little bit different with pumpkins. Thank you so much for linking up to #whatevertheweather x
