We love to go outside and explore.  One of our favorite things is to go on walks in different parks and nature preserves.

We have visited the Cohn Arboretum in Baton Rouge several times in the past couple years.  The Arboretum tends to be fairly quiet.

There is always lots to explore along the two paved pathways that circle around a lake, green house, rose garden, bamboo and skirts a wooded area.  The one mile trail  provides you with lots to look at which keeps S interested.Discovering Louisiana: Cohn Arboretum in Baton Rouge #cohnarboretum #batonrouge #louisiana | mybigfathappylife.com

We particularly love to visit in the spring when all the plants and trees are blooming.

The Cohn Arboretum is a wonderful place to take photos.  I cannot help but get a few shots of S each trip to the Arboretum.

A visit to the Cohn Arboretum is a fun, healthy, FREE activity for the whole family.  Yes, there is no admission fee for the Cohn Arboretum.

Have you been to a local arboretum?  Does your family like to explore the outdoors?

Our little one has recently discovered flowers and how fun it is to smell them. In the past, he just tore the petals off them. Boys, so destructive!

That is gorgeous! I’ve only been to LA once, but I was stunned at how pretty all of the natural areas were. We don’t have an arboretum near me in SC, but we DO have lots of pretty parks!
