6 Must Visit Attractions at SeaWorld San Antonio

May 22, 2018 By: mybigfathappylife

My Big Fat Happy Life received complimentary tickets, parking, and Seven Seas Food Festival lanyards to visit SeaWorld San Antonio.  All opinions are mine, as always.

6 Must Visit Attractions at SeaWorld San Antonio

One thing that I love about SeaWorld San Antonio is that there is something for everyone at the park including extreme rides, rides where you will get wet, animals to learn about, and shows to watch.  The ambiance is beautiful, the rides are thrilling, and the shows are fantastic!

If you are planning your own trip to SeaWorld San Antonio, be sure to check out my 15 tips for having a wonderful day in the park.  With so much to see and do at SeaWorld San Antonio, I have compiled a list of my family’s favorite attractions!

15 Tips for Visiting SeaWorld San Antonio

Journey to Atlantis

We rode Journey to Atlantis a couple times in the heat of the afternoon and it felt so good.  Just be prepared to get soaked!  Journey to Atlantis is part coaster and part water slide, where at the top of the first climb you get a 360º view of the park.  Then you get plunged into the lake below with a huge splash.

Rio Loco

This is another great ride to do in the middle of the afternoon.  You board a raft that takes you down a whitewater rafting, crazy river.  You will get sprayed with water along the way, but the end is where you will get soaked!  The Rio Loco waterfall will get everyone in the raft.

Great White Rollercoaster

Floorless rollercoasters are my favorites!  The Great White Rollercoaster has 360˚ flips, corkscrews, and exciting curves.  This was such a smooth coaster and goes almost 50mph.

Ocean Discovery Show

I love watching the animals interact with their trainers.  The Ocean Discovery Show features beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, and beautiful macaws.  The spectacular show inspires you to help preserve and protect wild animals and their habitats in an entertaining show.

Sea Lions at Play Show

Sea lions are so fun to watch and the Sea Lions at Play show gives you a closer look at them as well as otters.  The show is both entertaining and educational as you learn about their training techniques, how the animals live in the wild, and the differences between a sea lion and seal.

One Ocean or Killer Whales Up Close Show

We watched both Orca shows: Killer Whales Up Close and One Ocean because well I love Orcas.  The Killer Whales Up Close show is an educational presentation that tells you about the behavior and habitat of the Orca.  During One Ocean, SeaWorld celebrates and inspires with the message that we are part of one world, one ocean.

During both shows, you can witness the beauty of these amazing mammals.  If you are in the splash zone you will get wet and in most cases, not just a little wet but soaked!

Bonus!

If you have little kids the Sesame Street® Bay of Play is a great place to hang out.  It is centrally located and filled with rides, shows, and play area themed to Sesame Street®.  There is also a splash pad and meet and greet with characters.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend or over the summer I highly reccomend checking SeaWorld San Antonio out.  Have you visited SeaWorld San Antonio?
