This post, Non-Traditional Breakfast Quirks, has been compensated by RaceTrac. All opinions are mine alone.
Truthfully my daughter and I do not usually eat traditional breakfast items early in the morning. And apparently, a lot of other people don’t either because RaceTrac serves more 100% beef hot dogs and soft drinks between 6:00-10:00 am in most markets than any other food and drink item!
So what do we usually eat during the traditional breakfast hours? Leftover pizza, smoothies and hummus are the go-to staples in our house. Seriously, homemade pizza, RaceTrac pizza or any other pizza we might have in the fridge all are possible candidates for breakfast. Hummus is full protein and is always in our fridge so it’s at the top of our favorites with a side of naan.
Having fresh fruit in the morning makes me happy including smoothies. I never measure our smoothie but roughly I blend together 2 cups of fruit (whatever I have on hand strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.), about 1 tablespoon chia seeds and 1 cup of liquid (I usually use a mix of coconut milk and coconut water, but fruit juice or milk could also be used). These are our top 3 Morning Approved items.
If we do eat traditional breakfast food it’s actually usually at dinner time. And you know what that’s ok!
If you are like me (and a lot of y’all must be), then RaceTrac is the place to stop when you need a pick me up because they allow you the freedom to eat whatever gets you going in the morning without feeling guilty. We all know how hard mornings can be, but you can make it a little brighter with a stop at RaceTrac.
One of my favorite items offered at RaceTrac is their coffee bar. If you love your coffee like me, then the six blends of fresh brewed coffee along with the choice of your favorite creamers, sweeteners and toppings (like whipped cream) allows you to be your own barista and make coffeehouse quality coffee.
Trust me you are not the only one getting a hot dog, egg sandwich, soda or fresh fruit for breakfast!
