While I have always wanted to visit London, I am not sure that I would have wanted to live there during the 19th century. While London grew wealthy as Britain’s holdings expanded in the 19th century, it was also a city of poverty, where millions lived in overcrowded and unsanitary slums.
Premiering on FX Network on January 10th is Taboo, a dark and gritty television show that takes place during the 19th century in London.
